Tools for Self Relliance website goes live

TOOLS FOR SELF RELIANCE CYMRU collects old and unwanted hand tools from all over Wales. They clean, repair and sharpen them, and send tool kits to grass roots community groups in several African countries.
They asked us to design and build them a website and make it easy for them to mange and sell online.
Below are some of the features that enable them to now manage their website and market the charity effectively.
- We redesigned their website
- Created a system that allowed them to fully control their websites content.
- Setup a newsletter mailing list system, so their database is growing via the website & they can communicate easily
- Setup a full ecommerce system to allow them to sell products and accept donations.

Hartley Farm in Bradford on Avon

Hartley Farm is based between Bath & Bradford-on-Avon. As with many farms they decided to diversify their business by setting up a farm shop and cafe, open to the general public.
They realised that they needed to have a website to communicate with the public, wholesellers and media. They wanted to sell their shops products online, process customers cards securely. Start building up a database of customers. And wanted full control of the website, so non technical members of staff could contribute and mange the websites content & images. All with minimum fuss and simplicity.
The first thing we did was to establish a design identity from typography, design, layout & photography. Next we worked with Hartley Farm to map out the websites structure and content, this formed the blueprint for producing the initial website designs. Next we built the website and developed an extensive ecommerce system, full content management and robust customer mailing list system.
- Hartley Farm can now mange all their websites content, images
- Sell their shops products via a full ecommerce system
- Can actively market via via html emails to an ever increasing customer base
- More people are coming to the website and their business is flourishing

This project was commissioned by Knowle West Media Centre.
Knowle West Media Centre actively helps members of the local community to develop local initiatives, one such project was for an experienced local gardener Mil Lusk.
Mil has a polytunnel in Knowle West for growing vegetable seedlings and wanted to grow vegetable seedlings on demand, using the web as a place for receive orders and managing stock.
We created and designed a website that reflects the project ideas and enables online ordering of seedlings.

- order & customer summaries
- payment tracking & reminders

- automatic stock & compost calculations

Boutique ethique

Boutique Ethique was one of the first entirely green clothing company in the UK. The evolution of green fashion has been a remarkable process, since a handful of pioneers like Boutique Ethique began to point out the issues. Gradually the idea has worked its way into the ‘almost’ mainstream.
With this increase in green fashion – the objective was to reinvigorate the brand, to re-establish Boutique Ethique credentials as a pioneer and leader in the green fashion movement. Designing and selling bespoke collections, limited edition pieces for the public and shows across Europe.
Firstly we assessed Boutique Ethique position and brand in the marketplace. Based on many factors we created a unified business identity, from refining the logo and typography to photography style.
Based on this new identity and positioning, we created design visuals for a new website. Boutique Ethique already had an ecommerce system in place – so we redesigned this existing system to reflect the new designs identity. We also refined the back-end administration system to make it simple and easy to manage. And created stunning html email templates to use in their customer mailing list system.
Result
- Boutique Ethique has received great initial feedback to the redesign
- The website is generating a significant increase in enquiries and sales.
- An increase in press and media coverage.
- Full control of the websites content, products and customer database.
- Ability to actively market via email and showcase new collections and pieces.
